BEIJING - China signed $1.74 billion worth of contracts to import Philippine products during Vice Premier Wang Yang's recent trip, the commerce ministry said on Thursday.
The products include fruits and lumber, ministry spokesman Sun Jiwen told a regular news briefing.
Wang was the highest Chinese official to visit the Philippines since President Rodrigo Duterte met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing last week to reset ties that were strained by sea disputes.
